Controlled cooling brings fat cells to the temperature at which they crystallise and die, while the skin, nerves and muscle around them are unharmed. Over the following weeks the body clears them out.

CoolSculpting — common questions.

Is CoolSculpting a weight-loss treatment?

No, and we will say so plainly. It is a contouring treatment for specific pockets of fat that diet and the gym do not shift. If weight loss is the goal, our medically supervised programme is the honest answer, not this.

Do the fat cells come back?

The treated cells are destroyed and cleared by the body permanently. Remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain, so the result holds best alongside a stable weight.

How soon will I see a change?

Not immediately — the body clears the treated cells gradually over the following weeks. This is a treatment that rewards patience.
