Acne, and the scars it left
These are two problems and they need treating in order. Resurfacing active, inflamed acne can make it worse; the breakouts get calmed first, then the texture gets addressed.
Scarring is where expectations need to be honest. Rolling and boxcar scars remodel well with fractional resurfacing, which treats the skin in microscopic columns and leaves untreated tissue between them to drive healing. Deep ice-pick scars improve but rarely disappear.
Back and body acne is the part almost nobody treats and a lot of people live with. It responds, and it is worth asking about.
