Sun damage and dark spots
Sun damage in South Florida is not seasonal, it is cumulative and it starts early. What shows up in your thirties and forties is usually damage banked in your teens — brown patches, broken capillaries, a tone that looks uneven before it looks aged.
Pigment responds well to light-based treatment, and it responds fastest when the skin is not freshly tanned. That is the single most common reason we reschedule someone in Florida, and it is worth planning around rather than pushing through.
Melasma is the exception worth naming. It is hormonal as well as sun-driven, it can worsen with heat and aggressive light, and it needs a different plan. If that is what you have, we will say so.
